This course is aimed at regular hill walkers who want to broaden their experience to include glacial regions of the Alps as well as those considering trips This course is designed for the beginner or intermediate climber who wishes to develop strong fundamental skills in all aspects of snow and glacier climbing. Mountaineering for beginners’ curriculum focuses on safely walking with crampons, the use of an ice axe, self-arrest and proper fitting of gear such as a harness and crampons. Enjoy five days of hands-on instruction, safety training, and fun climbs in the heart of the French Alps. Reaching a challenging summit is immensely rewarding. Our mountain climbing courses are designed to help you climb mountains on your own or to join us on one of our international mountaineering expeditions.
