I've thought of joining the navy after I graduate from college (with a degree in engineering). Joined the Royal Canadian Navy after I graduated; coming up on 10 years in January.  The best option is to talk to your recruiter about your options.  I'm telling myself: Just remember to do those college career fairs / interviews / networking, since they work better than direct application.  Specify Army, Navy, etc.  Attending college while active duty in the Navy is free unless you're a fatty who can't pass Physical Readiness Assessment (PRT), but you'll need stable internet connection and a decent amount of free time for schoolwork, neither of which you'll get at some commands.  Well, I believe that since you will graduate with a degree, that already qualifies you to go to officer school.  I know that by entering the Navy with at least 30 college credits, I am going in a rank above.  I&rsquo;m a current college senior graduating in May and am considering joining the military when I do.  There's some things that take some getting used to, what with the whole NCM / Officer relationships.  ***Please use a clear title for your question: clear titles get clear answers.  Hello, I recently graduated with a finance degree and I don&rsquo;t think I&rsquo;m happy with a desk job and have been thinking about joining the military.  It's a pretty good gig.  Simply having been in the Navy helps after you get out, especially if you join right after high school. Great benefits including ample leave, decent pay, rock solid job stability.  (Meaning give me your opinions on joining the military) I&rsquo;ve also heard having a degree would mean you could come in as an officer with the proper steps does that still apply even if my degree isn .
